Nu World Music Festival (17 – 18 July)

Venue: City Hall, Cape Town CBD

Formerly known as a the Cape Town World Music Festival, the Nu World Music Festival promises two days of back-to-back tunes. The music event will be taking festivalgoers on a journey through South Africa and beyond with beats from global collective Native Young, the Boiler Room residents Thris & Blackfoot and Austrian DJ Dunkelbunt to name a few. Aspiring musicians can also expect a series of workshops, master classes and talks.

Cape Town Street Food Festival (26 July)

Venue: Side Street Studios, Woodstock

With our ever-present beautiful mountain backdrop, Capetonians are aredent fans of the outdoors – even in the dead of WINTER. Throw in a bit of food and drink and Bob’s your uncle! Where better to get the best of both foodie and outdoor worlds than at the Cape Town Street Food Festival?

In addition you getting your grub on there are also a wide range of activities perfect for the food enthusiast. Learn how to present your eats in a Logo and Packaging Design workshop, plate them with mouth-watering appeal at Food Styling class or get some ideas on how to best market your noshes.

Cape Town Fashion Week (30 July – 1 Aug)

Venue: Watershed, V&A Waterfront

July wraps up on the glamorous side of life with Mercedes Benz Fashion Week! For three day, the streets of Cape Town will be transformed into a catwalk in their own right as stylish designers and celebs dress to parade and impress at the Spring-Summer 2015 event.

Sit front row and centre at the shows of some of Mzansi’s most renowned labels. Sip on a drink while donning your best threads. Be the first to utter the names of new designers on the block amongst your friends. Get the scoop on upcoming fashion trends and make sure you’re in them when temperatures heat up.
