Cape Town, are you ready to be transported to Latin America by way of The River Club? Grab your Havana shirt, because the Cape Town Salsa Festival is around the corner…
Dates: 20–23 November 2014
Venue: The River Club, Observatory
You may not be able to go to Latin America! That’s why, for a second year in a row, Latin America’s coming to you. Taking place from 20 – 23 November, the Cape Town Salsa Festival promises four days of non-stop Latin dance ‘til you drop! And by Latin, we quite literally mean the dancing. The dancers, on the other hand, hail from all over the globe – Cuban salseros, Canadian, French, South African and more.
Attendees can look forward to performances as well as take part in dance workshops tailored for all levels – beginning to advanced. And what’s a Latin festival without fiesta? Each day will be wrapped up with a party featuring a line up of international and local dancers and DJs. Check out the festival programme…
During the day, there will be a series of workshops hosted by a handful of visiting and local dancers and dance schools. Attendees can choose from a wide range of dance styles including cha cha, rumba, Cuban son, and more as well as body conditioning and styling. Just ahead of the evening festivities, the instructors and other guests dancers will take to the stage with their polished moves.
