School holidays are around the corner and lucky for Cape Town’s kiddies, the city has plenty of activities on the calendar to keep them entertained and out of trouble all winter break!
Take them Toboggan-ing
Venue: Cool Runnings, Tygervalley
Whizz through the winter air at Africa’s only toboggan track at Cool Runnings. Ride and slide on the stainless steel track that snakes through Tygervalley’s landscape and become a master of the sled at speeds up to 40km per hour! Cool Runnings has extended their opening times from 09:00 – 18:00 every day during the school holidays, so book your tickets (R35 per ride or R250 day pass) and get toboggan-ing!
Cable Way Kidz Season
Venue: Table Mountain
It’s Kidz Season at the Cape Town Cable Way! Until the end of October, for every adult return ticket bought two kids under the age of 18 ride the cable car for free! To add to the fun, all children will be given a sweet treat and a treasure hunt at the top of Table Mountain.
Go Sightseeing around Cape Town
Venue: Various, Cape Town
Or see Cape Town from the top of a hop on, hop off City Sightseeing bus. The three-for-one kids special runs throughout the school holidays. So for every adult ticket bought, two children can take the tour for free.
Disney on Ice (8 – 12 July)
Venue: Grandwest Grand Arena, Goodwood
Disney On Ice Let’s Celebrate promises to be a festival of fun for Cape Town’s kids this winter holiday! Take the kids to watch all their favourite Disney characters on ice from R100.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (27 June – 19 July)
Venue: Canal Walk Theatre, Century City
